The house is Very roomy and comfortable—a great spot on the lake. The host has excellent communication.

Blue Lagoon Retreat is easily our favorite lake house on Lake Lanier. It’s not easy being unexpectedly out of our home for months due to emergency repairs. We've already stayed in 4 lake houses on the southern end of Lanier. Staying in this peaceful home and setting helped alleviate some of our stress. The main area is very airy and light. Gorgeously decorated, yet still homey, cozy, and dog-friendly! Love the covered patio—comfortable, clean, with fans to stay cool, and, of course, the fantastic view. I spent a lot of time working and relaxing out there. (Wifi is fast, although if husband and I were both on Zoom meetings, one of us would need to turn off the video.) The kitchen was well stocked and the goodies appreciated. The primary bedroom (on main) had a very comfortable bed; we slept quite well. The primary bathroom shower had nice, strong water pressure. (It’s the only bathroom on main, so if you have a group/larger family staying, it would be the bathroom that the other bedroom on main used, as well as anyone who didn’t want to go downstairs to their bathroom.) The path to the docks is one of the gentlest and easiest on the lake. We liked that the dock is in a no-wake zone. It was very quiet in spring, although I imagine the summer will be much busier and noisier on the lake. We appreciated the variety of life vest sizes and how clean they were—seemed almost new. We loved taking the 2 kayaks out before sunset and exploring the cove. We watched deer drinking near the water’s edge, huge fish and turtles swimming, plus all kinds of birds, including a large heron and a barred owl. And a mama bluebird was sitting on eggs in the bird house visible from the patio. All incredibly gorgeous, peaceful, and relaxing. Thank you, Joy and team, for hosting us in your amazing home!

This is a remarkable property for all occasions! I was lucky enough to be here for Thanksgiving and to celebrate a 65th birthday with my family of 6. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, appliances were updated and the entire property was extremely clean and comfortable. Tons of sitting areas so we all felt together but never on top of one another. The Sonos sound system worked flawlessly and allowed us to listen to music in any room of the house and on the dock. We had beautiful weather and really enjoyed the outdoor sitting areas and swinging down by the water. As an added plus, there were tons of hangers in all the closets, the mattresses and sheets were luxurious and the white noise machines allowed for great sleep all around. Would absolutely stay here again!
